Distraction.

You can never let your guard down when it comes to sin. The temptation to sin can come at any time from any angle. Sin can be described as so many different things but ultimately it can be defined as distraction from Christ. Sin gets in the way of our connection with God; once there is lack of connection it is easier and easier to fall.

Matthew 26:41 says "Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit willing, but the flesh is weak"

I see this verse as a warning; Jesus explained to us that temptation is everywhere and we have to be on guard. In order to stay on the right path with Christ we have to constantly be growing closer to Him; praying, reading the Bible, connecting with other believers, and choosing Him over our own desires.

Wherever you are at right now just know that you can make a change. You don't have to continue on the path you are on. I know from personal experience that it feels so frustrating when you aren't close to Christ but in the moment it's hard to even see you aren't close. I'm praying for whoever reads this that you would open your Bible tonight or you would pray and ask God to fill you with joy and life. If you have the chance listen to the album "How can it be" by Lauren Daigle! It has helped me SO much!
