Tough exteriors usually have vulnerable interiors.

Tough exteriors usually have vulnerable interiors.

It makes me so sad when people are rude, mean, or inconsiderate. Sometimes my sadness turns into anger & I think "How could someone be so mean?!"

People go through a lot in life & everyone deals with situations differently. When we are kids, we are so vulnerable & in most cases our parents are our only source of guidance. When we grow up, we take what we learned during childhood & we believe that what we know is the ultimate truth. There's a lot of pressure on parents to raise their babies correctly!

I want to challenge myself & whoever is reading this to stop jumping to conclusions. Your (my) worldview might not be correct 100% of the time. We need to stop jumping to conclusions in certain situations and about certain people. We have no idea what turmoil a person might be facing in their life. If someone snaps at you in anger out of nowhere & you want to lash back try to take a step back & remind yourself of this...

"Tough exteriors usually have vulnerable interiors."

This changes your hearts perspective from hate to love and concern for their well-being.

This doesn't mean that you should be a floor mat that gets walked all over all the time, but it changes your perspective on where that person might be coming from.

Proverbs 15:1 "A soft answer turns away wrath but a harsh word stirs up anger."
