when life seems too messy

when life seems too messy

This morning I woke up & all of a sudden a billion tasks I needed to accomplish filled my brain. My heart started pounding & I didn't know how I was going to accomplish everything. When I started feeling like this, I stopped myself and began evaluating how I got to this point. I soon realized that I had the time to complete all of the tasks that needed to get done, but I PROCRASTINATED! I couldn’t blame anyone else, it was my fault that I was in that position.

My main point of this blog is that it's time to stop blaming other people and other things for the mess that you create. Note that there are always going to be things that happen to us that are not in our control. We can't control what someone else does, but those aren't the incidences that I'm talking about.

When you are in a “life pickle” try to slow down and evaluate how you got to where you are. Don't blame it on other people, & especially don't blame it on God because that will never help your growth as a person. Exodus 4:12 says "Now then go, and I, even I, will be with your mouth and teach you what you are to say." This verse explains the way God chooses to teach & guide us. If, and when, we make mistakes we need to call on Him, asking for forgiveness and guidance. Don't forget that you are the one who put yourself in the situation you are in, but fortunately it doesn’t have to stop there. When you get to that point, open your ears to what God can, and will, teach you through it.

If you feel like you are constantly in bad situations or stressful times, take a step back and look at what is guiding you in making those decisions. The guidance you are looking to may not be correct or beneficial to you. I really want to encourage you to first look for guidance in the Bible. God constantly reminds you of your worth and also your humanity. His guidance is never condemning, but instead helps you understand why you did what you did and what you could have done better. As Christians, we should be thankful that He lovingly guides us to make healthy and positive choices.

The purpose of this post isn't to condemn; it is meant to inspire you to take control of your life! We are not meant to live a life filled with fear & anxiety.

You can do it.
