I haven't posted a blog in about a month & I don't even know where I should start! I am definitely going to create a post to share about our wedding day but I want to wait until the photographer sends us our photos! I feel so overjoyed to be able to call myself Mrs. LemMon. Our honeymoon was incredible and I am going to share a post about that too but I just wanted to write this post and share something that God has been reminding me of everyday.
I had been thinking about how lucky I am to have met Shane and I just couldn't wrap my mind around how I got to the spot where we are at. I definitely knew I had done something right but what was it? I was at work and I began piecing it together; we were involved in church, we were /are constantly pursuing a relationship with Christ, we have surrounded ourself with strong Christian friends and family members, and most importantly just made sure that our actions and words brought God honor. We have NOT done all these things perfectly but we have constantly pursued that lifestyle. Pastor Craig Olson shared a sermon at Crossroads Christian Church on July 3, 2016 and he was teaching us how to make good decisions. The sermon was incredible but the thing I took away from it that I know has made an incredible impact was this...
Always ask yourself "Will this action or word bring God honor?". If the answer is no that means don't go through with it no matter how good it feels or how much you want it. If you don't know what honors God read through the bible, it teaches you how to handle conflict, money, people, emotions, etc. It literally covers every question you have. You can literally google "Bible verse on _______" and different verses will come up. Try typing in "Bible verse on relationships" or "Bible verse on forgiveness". If you don't have a bible you can download an app. I use Holy Bible app & the little icon is brown.
God deserves our praise and your actions are a form of worshipping Him. I'm praying for the people that read this that you would be able to ask yourself multiple times through the day "Does doing this bring God honor?"
Thank you for reading this & if you feel like someone else could benefit from reading this I would love it if you shared it with them!:)
